"There is more to children's musculoskeletal health than bones and muscles."
We believe that all children and young people should be supported to enjoy physical movement and the lifestyle benefits it has to offer. Our goal is to help all children reach their potential by offering an assessment of their musculoskeletal system and guide them to receive any additional support that might benefit them.
Dr Peter Bale is an experienced Consultant Paediatric Rheumatologist. He qualified from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 2006 and completed Specialty training in Paediatrics in the East of England in 2016. During this time he received specialist Paediatric Rheumatology Training at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, Sheffield Children’s Hospital, and the Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital in Norwich. He is a Fellow of Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) and holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Education from the University of Cambridge (PGCME).
Dr Bale’s NHS work is based at Cambridge University Hospital (Addenbrookes), where he was appointed as a substantive consultant in 2017. He works with a multidisciplinary team to look after children and young people with rheumatological conditions across the whole of the Eastern Region (UK), within the Child and Adolescent East of England Rheumatology Service (CHEERS). He is the Paediatric Musculoskeletal lead for the National Stickler Syndrome Service, based in Cambridge.
Dr Bale currently consults privately at Gilmour Piper seeing children and young people up to the age of 18 years old.
